01

A pier beside Aloha Tower

The ship leaves from Pier 8, part of the Aloha Tower complex on Honolulu Harbor. The tower itself opened on 11 September 1926, stands ten storeys and 184 feet tall with a 40-foot flag mast, and was Hawaii's tallest structure for about four decades. It has welcomed vessels entering the harbour since the day it opened.

02

Diamond Head from the water

Lēʻahi, the volcanic tuff cone known in English as Diamond Head, is estimated at 400,000 to 500,000 years old. British sailors named it in 1825 after sparkling calcite crystals they took for diamonds on the beach. Both sailings list Ala Moana, Waikiki and Diamond Head as the sights you pass.

03

The show on board

The feature show is Moku Ola, Voyage of Life, billed by the operator as performed by the largest cast on island waters. The buffet sailing adds Dance Paʻina to its live entertainment, and on the five-course sailing audience participation is encouraged.

04

The Friday sailing

On Fridays the sailing runs an extra hour and ends with a fireworks show. That applies to Friday dates only, so choose your date with the weekday in mind.
